The Quechee Scottish Festival 2007

Opening ceremoneies at the Quechee Scottish Festival

Quechee's Scottish Festival is an annual event, held on the Quechee Polo Field and usually towards the end of August. In 2007, the festival was in its its 35th year. The most colorful attraction is the opening ceremony which normally takes place around noon. You will see massed pipe bands and everyone dressed to the "nines" in authentic Scottish costumes. Other events include the Vermont Sheep Dog Championship Trails, which go on most of the day, Scottish Arts and Crafts, Highland Dancing, Tossing the Caber and a Kilted Mile Race.

Our slide shows below capture some of the moments or you can catch some our videos.
